After less than a year with the team, the Miami Dolphins and quarterback Logan Thomas recently parted ways. The team waived Thomas, which means that Matt Moore, rookie Brandon Doughty and Zac Dysert now backup Ryan Tannehill on the Dolphins depth chart.
Miami picked up Thomas last year, placing him on the practice squad and later the full 53-man roster. Thomas is a former fourth-round pick out of Virginia Tech, having spent one season with the Arizona Cardinals before making his way to Miami.
Thomas wasn’t out of work long, however, as the New York Giants claimed him off waivers, dropping quarterback B.J. Daniels to make room for Thomas on the roster.
